Supporting individuals, organisations, and the wider industry to build sustainable, visible and credible event careers.

Careers & talent in the events industry, reimagined

The events industry doesn’t follow a clear career ladder, and that’s where many event pros and teams get stuck.

Titles don’t always align across the event sectors. Responsibility doesn’t match pay. Progression is often informal, unspoken, or dependent on who you already know. Mid-career is where talented people either plateau, burn out, or quietly leave.

My work sits at the intersection of delivery, careers, and industry insight, helping people and organisations make sense of how event careers actually work, and how they could work better.

who this is for

for event professionals

I don’t work from abstract career models or generic frameworks. My approach is grounded in how events are actually staffed, trusted, hired, and retained across sectors, formats, and scales. I bring together practitioner experience, education, mentorship, research, and industry observation to support careers and talent in a way that reflects the reality of the industry.

Mid-career event professionals who want bigger, better, and more sustainable work — without starting over or forcing themselves into roles that don’t fit.

I work with people who already know events, but feel boxed in by unclear progression, narrow sectors, or invisible career pathways.

This isn’t entry-level advice or generic career coaching. It’s about navigating the reality of event work across sectors, contracts, and career stages.

for organisations & teams

Agencies, event owners, brands, and associations who are serious about retaining talent, not just hiring it.

Many event teams struggle at the mid-career level. People are experienced but unclear on what comes next. Skills aren’t always visible or transferable. Progression often relies on promotion into management, even when that’s not the right path.

My work helps organisations, teams, leaders and diploma programs:
 • Improve retention at mid-career level
 • Make progression and skills more visible to the team
 • Support non-linear career paths
 • Reduce burnout and attrition
 • Think differently about succession and growth

Starting Spring 2026, I will be offering Lunch & Learn workshops for teams, leaders and future professionals:
  • Progress in Practice: How Event Careers Are Moving
  • Sustainable Careers: Retention, Well-being and Future-proofing Teams
  • Cross-sector Career Movement for Mid-Career Event Professionals
  • Launching Iconic Event Careers: From Graduation to Mid-Career Success

for the wider industry

Professional bodies, educators, associations, and platforms shaping the future of the events industry.

Alongside individual and organisational work, I contribute to industry-level conversations about career sustainability, talent mobility, and progression in events.

This includes:
  • Speaking & panel contributions
  • Podcast and media appearances
  •  Research & white papers
  • Collaboration with educators and associations

Starting Spring 2026, I will announce two keynotes, available to book.

How this work shows up:

For individuals: career clarity, momentim, sustainable progression

For organisations: retention, visibility, mid-career support

For the industry: research, dialogue, long-term change
